Giro di Zeppoli - 9/20/15 (The Donut Tour)  

The Giro di Zeppoli is the ride that kicks off the fundraising efforts for the Florida Tour de Force.  We ride out of beautiful Jupiter, FL north along A1A toward Hobe Sound (25 miles) or Stuart (50 miles).  Riders will enjoy delicious Dunkin Donut's coffee and of course donuts before the start of the ride.  There will be two well stocked rest stops at each turn around, stocked with fresh fruits, water, sports drink and gels.  

 

The lead out is escorted by Jupiter Police Department offering a safe ride north to Jupiter Island.  The riders will take off right after a tearful redition of Amazing Grace played by Ralph Hippolite of the Sheriff's Office Honor Guard.  It is truly a sight to see.

 

The 25 mile course is a family - friendly route that is suitable for riders of all skill levels.  The turn around (rest stop) is at the Jupiter Island Town Hall and will be easy to navigate into and out of on your way back to Jupiter.

 

The 50 mile course is a bit more challenging and usually an upbeat fast tempo ride not for the faint of heart.  It's not to say anyone can't do it, but usually there is a large group that likes to shake the cobwebs out a bit.   The turn around (rest stop) is at Kiwanis Park in Stuart right at the corner of Dixie Hwy and 5th Street.
